The kitchen in the Athfield Manson House had over the years become run-down and the adjacent original laundry area had become an unused space which was prone to collecting multiple miscellaneous items. 

The stand-alone stove/oven was barely functional and the recently installed dishwasher protruded from the 500mm deep bench. 

The intention was to refurbish the space and bring it back to its former glory in a way that is both functional in a contemporary fashion and retrospective of its original era and architectural integrity.
